i made this quilt for my sisters birthday in november (for once i actually finished something beforeeee its susposed to be done!) and i absolutely love it! it went together very quick and was made all from fabric i had except for the back.  i tried the bamboo cotton blend batting i saw at joanns and it turned out to be nice and soft and warm too

and the back! i love the owl fabric they look so cute..... the purple strips on the side are actually from me trying to be cheap and conserve the owl fabric to be used for another backing i just loved it too much to give it alllll away  Wink

im need more practice with my free motion quilting so i tried to stick more to just the wavy line look but decided to throw some hearts in there to help practice.... it was rather easy since it was still all one continuous line

and lastly... i had some funnnn with the binding  Roll Eyes  the only fabric i had that actually would have looked good as the binding was the same purple again...but... i was short a bit so i decided to be creative and throw some other pieces of fabric from the quilt in there which i thought looked cute.  i decided to machine stitch the thing on since it would be stronger for my slightly careless sister and since i had just gotten my fancy new machine i decided to use the heart decorative stitch.... which apparently did not like it too well when it would cross the seems from the different fabrics in the binding and would mess up the hearts. so instead of ripping out all the ones i had done already i left the one corner with the hearts and switched over to zig zag to help keep my sanity! i call it artistic. i could not get the binding stitches to show up clear so sadly i dont have a picture of that

Great quilt!  I like how it goes from light in one corner to dark in the other.
