!calluna’s very first Shop!
Direct from the Redwoods to you! All items guaranteed to be 100% free of banana-slugs!

I do not smoke, and neither does my dog....

For 3 points:

Rules of Fight Club sampler -- Needlework sampler (mostly cross-stitch) on oatmeal-colored aida cloth; threads are yellows, blues and purples. I’ve finished darkening in the lettering since taking this picture and will block it and add a bit more to complete the empty areas before sending it.

Album/scrapbook with embellishments – 12x12”,  black hardcover with bird design on front. Inside pages are gold, black, and white designs, with some plain black, white, or gray pages. All pages are inside clear acid-free sleeves. The pages do not have any layouts – but I will include some vellum-type paper and other embellishments/scraps for decorating.
Most of the paper came from the great irasema in the Fill-A-Box Swap

For 2 points:

Christmas journal/scrapbook – mixed paper, some recycled/handmade, some a nice pea-green writing paper. About 30 pgs, bound with binder-rings so more pages can be inserted.

recon’d vintage children’s textbook to CD holder, bright - can hold 28 CDs and several liner note booklets. Bright colors, retro children’s theme, has a notepad inside and free space for adding personal embellishments. Manu Chao not included.

Matching recon journal is currently in the works -- it's the Teacher's Edition of the same book.  Smiley

For 1 point:
“Far East Stories” book recon – concertina bound with tabs of various artist papers, blank off-white nice cardstock pages. The back cover has a small logo that says “Pleasure reading”.

recon’d hardcover book from an old Readers Digest Condensed Book (the cover, and also the tabs binding the pages are illustrations from the books) – The binding is a Japanese album/flutterbook, which is an accordion binding with no open end. Here’s the closed book:
And here it is open:
sold to loves2experiment! I can make more of these with similar covers.

rust-colored blank book - concertina/accordion binding – the one on the left is still available (thanks to pinkanddinky for buying the other one!). Very thick paper, I think it is Canson Mi Teintes. Covers reclaimed from old Readers Digest Condensed Books.

Reduced! custom-made recon blank book, with one of these hard-cover titles:
 - "Utmost Fish!" (so random I had to buy it. black and dark blue)
 - "To The Wedding" (brown and black)
 - “Secrets (grey)
 - “Into the Highways and Hedges” (green, has a silhouette of two males on the cover)
 - "The Small Woman" (yellow and red, has chinese lettering on the front)
 - "Romantic Rebel" (grey)
 - "The Complete Book of Sewing" (blue)
 - "Unto A Good Land" (blue-grey, has a small train going across the front)
 - "The Sweetest Swing" (multicolored, has illustration of baseball player swinging a bat on the front)
 - "Life at its Best" (small, cover is mainly green with a kitschy outdoor family scene)
 - "World Shopping" (I have a few of these; they all have international scenes on them from the 60s or 70s)
 - "Good Morning, Young Lady" (tan; I'm hoping to make this a fairly cheeky/saucy book)
 - "Madam, Will You Talk?" (yellow)
 - "Ellery Queen - Cat of Many Tails" (blue with an evil-looking black cat on the cover)
 - "Rock & Roll Heaven" (red)
 - 1960s “Do-It Encyclopedia” volume; this one has a guy in a captain’s hat working on his boat in his yard. Dominant color is blue
 - A green book with no writing on it, but image of 3 pears on front
 - “Goat Song” (black with white print)
PM me to discuss!

"Time for True Tales - and Almost True" -- reconstructed book to journal/blank-book (red, with black and white accents, glue-binding. Includes a bunch of images from folk- and fairy tales
sold to lapoli!

For 1/2 a point:

Reduced! set of 5 molded crayons from scrap-crayons:

Reduced! Card holder, ATC display or small scrapbook -- slot-and-tab binding, approx 6x12”. Ribbon keeps it all closed and can be easily removed. Some of the pages have pockets for holding things, most do not, but things could be easily mounted on the pages.

Reduced! 0.5 point: book “The Gnomes Book of Christmas Crafts” by Carol Endler Sterbenz, 1980. http://www.amazon.com/gnomes-book-Christmas-crafts/dp/0810909677/ref=sr_11_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1213744512&sr=11-1
So cute! A lot of the items could be done for any occasion, not just the holidays. A few of the gnome pictures are missing but majority are still in the book (there’s a section at the end with gnomes to cut out)

1 point: book "Recipes for Surfaces: Decorative Paint Finishes Made Simple", by Mindy Drucker and Pierre Finklestein. It's a big one, 255 pages! http://www.amazon.com/Recipes-Surfaces-Decorative-Finishes-Simple/dp/0671682490/ref=sr_11_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1214287833&sr=11-1

0.5 point: Set of rolls of color-coded stickers with days of the week, in a few languages. They're in a floppy plastic enclosure that keeps them together.

Reduced! 0.5 point: - pack of several old black (regular) and translucent red vinyl records – sturdy, not floppy

1 point: About 100 8.5x11" sheets of off-white translucent paper -- I think it is vellum. It curls easily but can be run through some printers. claimed by Velvet Rose

1 point: - grab-bag (errm, box/envelope) of vintage children's books for recon, image cutouts or whatnot, including 2 illustrated reading textbooks, an OLD Donald Duck book, and a 1984 Olympics activity book from McDonalds. I can include a 1980s Garbage Pail Kids sticker/card album if you’d be interested; it’s not everyone’s taste (nor is it mine), so I won’t send it unless you want it.

Take one of these items for free with your purchase (please request specifically):

- battery-powered christmas tree lights, 10 lamps on the strand. Battery pack requires 2 "C" batteries.

- Vintage images/ephemera

- 4-pack of clear bobbins:

- 2 knit sweater arms (100% wool) for felting -- one arm is bright multiple colors and the other has had the color discharged and is now various shades of purple.

- sheet of plastic canvas

- bag of pinecones from redwood trees - They're no bigger than acorns and my yard is covered with them because I live in a redwood belt. I can only send these within the U.S. because of international shipping regulations.

thank you for shopping!
