I keep forgetting to post my cozy. I used scraps of Lambs Pride Bulky, dyed w/ Kool Aid. The little blue koala-esque creature on the side holds my headphones.

When I first made the cozy I forgot I put my headphones in the little pocket and tore my house up looking for them. As soon as I bought a new pair, of course, I remembered where I'd "hidden" them.

I want to make an Ipod cozy for my friend for Xmas. I'm a beginner knitter, but I was wondering if I could knit a window for the controls and screen. Any ideas? Thanks

I think you'd be able to pretty easily by casting off stitches to make the bottom of the circular window (which is just BINDING OFF/BO) and then casting back on to form the top of the circle. What gauge yarn are you planning to use? Maybe I could help you figure out specifics (if I can't, I'm sure someone here could!). Whoever helps you w/ a pattern would need to know the gauge first.

By the way,  I made a straightforward one and it doesn't drive me too insane to slip it out of the cozy to access the dial...it would look cute w/ the little cut out, I admit.

I'm using Lion's Brand Fun Fur with size 8 needles. I want to knit a circular window for the controls, then a rectangular one for the screen. tia!

*oh, btw, does anybody have the measurements for a regular ipod? including size of screen, controls, distance from bottom to controls, etc.? thanks!

That sounds really cute. Do you know how many sts to the inch you get w/ fun fur on size 8 needles??

about 12 stitches for 2.5"
....so about 4 or 5 stitches per inch

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post, but I 've been watching the site for quite some time.  I was given an Ipod for my birthday and when I saw these cozies I had to try to make one.  This is my first completed project.  I'd love to make one with a window for the dial but I'm a beginner and I'm not quite skilled enough to do that yet.  I did make an arm band so that I can wear the cozie when my hands are full.  Thanks for the inspiration!

I put the pattern on my knitting page
