This is absolutely beautiful! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, cause I've been sitting here for five minutes just looking at the pictures!!!! This skirt is amazing!! I'm beyond impressed. Smiley

Oh no - proper beautiful - I think if I were wearing it I'd be like your friend in the last photo, twirling all day long.  I keep daydreaming of making a rainbow tiered skirt, and you've made the one in my daydreams!

Congratulations on a great skirt, and try to ignore people who don't get it!  It's beautiful and whimsical and fantastic.

I love your skirt so much I must plan to spend 10 months making my own!  (I am incredibly slow/ easily distracted)

I am in complete awe!!  I  do patchwork a lot.  Just look at some of my previous posts.  But I only sew for little girls!!  I get impatient doing 3 tiered patchworks with 6-10 squares, let alone something small as 4 inches!

You are awesome and your skirt is great!  Please tell me though that you serged or finished the edges?Huh??  You wouldn't want to wash it and have all your seams fray.

Oh dear me, I too have felt the sting of ridicule bury my feeling of accomplishment over something that I had been proud of; even one harsh comment seems to be able to ought weigh a dozen positive ones.  I joined Craftster because I believed my work was good and wanted to share it with kindred crafty spirits and find out if in fact my work was worth continuing; with every positive comment I feel a little safer, a little more hopeful, and a little more confident that the people around have no idea what they are talking about. I still hesitate to post some projects because they are the ones that I put my heart and soul in to and I just couldn't bear it if the strangers who have been so nice told me that those projects were not worth the time I spent on them.

From one insecure crafter to another I love this; I think it took amazing talent, skill and vision.  The fact that you finished it and loved it is more important that what ANYONE else says.

It's so beautiful! I love the colors and the way it flows. Ignore all the jerks that scoffed at it. They probably hate it because they can't make anything that nice.

I would wear that every day. Seriously. Don't listen to the critics, they are just jealous!!!

Gor. Geous.

That, my craftster friend, is a work of art.  I can't imagine how long it took you to do it!
