Gorgeous!! People are right that it's a work of art! My jaw dropped when I saw it... don't get down about it at ALL. You've a right to be proud of such fantastic and meticulous work.

This skirt is amazing, and beautiful and a work of art.  I don't know which part I like more, the color, the style or the lenth. I am in amazement that you can make something this intricate and lovely. If I were to have this I would be happy to wear it and be happy knowing that you KNOW people would smile when they see it Smiley

I would love to get together with others in the area and have a day of crafting while emptying that "extra" (is there such a thing?) supplies! If interested PM me!!

Absolutely beautiful, and amazing!  I can't even imagine how much work it was, and it turned out so wonderful.  Be proud and and dance and swirl in it!

This is absolutely incredible.  I know it's already been said a thousand times, but it really is a brilliant piece of art.  Those who mocked it just can't appreciate the time and talent it took to create such a masterpiece.

"Rainbow Patchwork Skirt"  is not a good enough caption for your project...it should have been  "Amazing, intricate, beautiful, colorful, custom made, floor length, lovely, stylish,  (on and  on ) most amazing piece of apparel".  It drapes so nicely, and the colors you put together are so perfect, and the size of the squares, and the number of tiers, and just oh so many things are awesome about your beautiful master piece, that those naysayers don't have any right to comment on your work.  We here are so lucky that you posted this for all of us to see.  We are the lucky ones.  I can just imagine how great it feels when you put this skirt on and twirl about.   Don't let the mean people get you down, just don't even listen to them!

I have been wanting a rainbow-or colorful- patchwork skirt for some time. This must have taken so much time, patience, and funds to complete and you should be so proud! One of my favorite lines from the new "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (johnny depp) movie.. Charlie says "Candy doesn't have to have a point. That's why it's candy." Thank you for sharing this wonderful eye candy for all of us to enjoy!!

take it from me: I absolutley _hate_ rainbow coloured things. I hate brightly mixed colours, and even more so when people try to add them all together. Horrible.

STILL, I find that I love this. So very very much. It's brilliant, it looks really good and I (gasp and and wonder) really feel like making one myself right now. (though this of course I will deny if anyone dares ask me)

That is BEAUTIFUL!   If I wore that skirt, I would just spin and spin all day... I'd have to get sick before I stopped spinning!  It's lovely, and i know from experience that multi-tiered skirts with patchwork and gathers are serious work.  You should be proud.

I would seriously wear it ALL the stinkin' time!  In fact, I've thought about making something similar myself, but wasn't sure how to do it and if it would look right.  Now, I know it would look right!!!  Ignore the people who poked fun at it.  If you like it, that's all that matters, and you definately did an AWESOME job on it.  Smiley
