I found this great birdcage in the basement of my grandmother's house a couple of months ago.  It was incredibly rusty and she had just stuffed some other old junk into it.  I asked her if I could have it, and after a "Why in the world would you want that old thing?" she obliged!!  My mom said there had not been a bird in the thing since she was in the 1st grade (about 55 years ago!!) 
I forgot to take a before pic, but here it is finished with a little ivy plant Wink

Such a simple thing to do with an old birdcage and you've completely turned it around to a wonderful piece of art.  Great idea.

it would be neat with a big old ivy plant in there, growing out the sides, too...maybe your little guy will get there!
