Hey craftsters,

I just got back from a thrift store run. I found a beautiful Singer (not sure of the model) in need of a bit of repair, but in its case and everything in the Salvation Army on Rt 6 (same plaza as JoAnn's) There was no price on the case, but they seemed to be "under pricing" everything today.

I tried to move the needle up (it's currently in its down position), but I was unable to. I'm not sure if this is my own problem, or if it was broken. I think it's worth looking at if you're in the area.

hey there, i noticed you were from the bristol area, as am i. You may want to check the goodwill across the street too...i was in there the other day, there were quite a few sewing machines there as well, although i don't know how good of condition they are...
