Great job w/the matching set - I like all the coordinated fabric. I'm sure your friend will love it.  I think your purse making skills are fine, everything looks well done.

Super cute! Love the colors, very cheery, and the clasp for the key fob is an awesome idea, I need to do that on my next bag.  I'm sure she will love it.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments! I gave my friend the purse last night and she loved it.
And I cannot take credit for the idea for the clasp for the keyfob, that was all sewnikki. Her purses are amazing!  Grin

I love this! It looks extremely professional, by the way-- could be passed off as being store-bought if not for the obvious uniqueness!  Wink

I have made several totes but never used two different fabrics for the outside.

Do you sew the fabric together, iron seem, attach interfacing and then cut?

You can sew the fabrics together, then attach the interfacing and then cut. Or I think I may have sewn the fabric together, then cut, then attached the interfacing, either way, it works.  Smiley

Great, I will try that....  And do you make the bottom fabric about 2/3 and the top fabric about 1/3 of whatever height dimensions you need?

Oh I just love that everything matches. That kicks butt. I have been wanting to try the key chain thing. Was just drooling over some with names on them I thought they were just so neat.
But love the purse and the pouch and key, and totally get the matching fob
