These were fun.  I bought a cheap paper lantern from the dollar store, and thought "Hey! Watercolors should work on this!"
After I finished the first one, I ran out and bought a lot more lanterns to work on.  Here's my first two experiments.

Really?  I actually don't like the tiger that much.  I didn't think it turned out well at all.  Hmm...  Artist's anxiety I guess.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that the Chinese character in the pink one means "flower."  At least, the internet told me it meant "flower."  It might actually say "stupid American."  But it looks neat anyway.
