Wow such great things in both packages!!
How cute is the apple jacket? I've never heard of one of those but I think the idea is just adorable and I really want one.

I've got that nervous feeling when everything is all packed up waiting to be sent. I didn't make it to the Post Office yesterday so tomorrow lunch time it is.

Those are super sweet swap items! I think I am more anxious for Annchen to recieve her stuff then I am to recieve mine. This is my first swap so I hope she likes her stuff, wow this is nerve wrecking, and she is out of the U.S. so I will be waiting a while for her reaction. Looking forward to more pics of goodies.

Everything is super cool so far, I love seeing what people receive.  That purple patchwork scarf is extra sweet, it would be hard to wait for fall to wear that!

JenerationPink, my partner is also overseas so I'll join you on the waiting for a while bench!

As it turned out, my partner Katcal's package to me made the England-Georgia trip at super speed!  It arrived today!  Lots of photos follow...I did my best on our scrubby deck table in the late afternoon shadows, but here we go!

The whole package contents, including wrapped swap items, a card in envelope, and a little extra--a tiny cross-stitch kit (we share an enjoyment of needlework!):

The adorable card (also handmade--love that 3-D dog!):

Everything all wrapped up, closer up so you can see the pretty wrapping job:

For my color purple, Kat made a gorgeous beaded bookmark (this picture does not do it justice, it's wonderful!):

For my shape square, Kat blew me away with an embroidered sudoku grid and complete set of magnetic numbers!  The grid is attached to a metal backing so the magnets stick.  Just set up your puzzle with the "given" numbers and then work out the rest!  But how do you know what the starting numbers are?  Kat helpfully included two envelopes, one containing a printout of a bunch of puzzles and the other containing the answers (sealed, of course, with "are you sure you want to cheat??" written on the back...to which I reply, I never CHEAT, I just, um, CHECK, to make sure I was going in the right direction....).  Anyway, here it is in all its glory:

oof the sun glare was bad in that one.  The magnetic numbers are really pretty and stick so well.  The box in front contains the numbers.  This is going to be so much fun to play with!  Totally creative, I'd never have thought of making something like this!

And finally, my texture was soft.  A Dalek, of course, is anything BUT soft, in personality or texture.  But not if you make him as a cross-stitched stuffie!  How cool is this??

And finally, group shot:

What a great swap package!  I love everything, Katcal, you made awesome projects and they are all things I will definitely love and use!  Thanks so much!

Now back to the overseas sender waiting bench with my fingers crossed for my package to make it to England just as safely....

What a great package you received katchoo1 !!!  Good job on it Katcal.

Now, I have to ask - what's a dalek?

Needing an on-line break ... I'll be back later in 2018.

Homerof2 - it's something from Dr Who Smiley

Daleks are the very scary robot baddies on Doctor Who.  They've been the Doctor's nemesis since the show started in the 1960s...but to my mind they didn't get truly scary til the 2005 revival of the show.  For one thing, they didn't used to be able to climb stairs...

This is a pretty good quick look at them, it's a trailer for one of the season 1 episodes:
