So, I finally took up spinning. And after only 1 week of spinning on a bottom-whorl spindle... I'm addicted! The fiber's from The Sheep Shed Studio. My second attempt is currently drying. Fortunately I was a bit more patient the second time around, so I'm thinking my second skein has enough yardage to actually make something. Smiley

Weight: 2.25 oz.
Length: ~ 30 yds.
6 WPI (if I did that right!)

Just lovely!  Look how evenly it's spun...wowza!   Shocked

Congrats!  In no time at all, you'll be insulating your house with giant bundles of fiber.   Cheesy

I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's me with some yarn on my head.

LOL, my goal with spinning is not to hoard fiber like I do yarn for knitting... We'll see how long I can stick to the plan!

That looks great for a first try and SO much better than what I came up with when I made my first yarn!   Grin

Good luck with not starting a stash!  I've been pretty good about not hoarding fiber (by that I mean I have two smallish boxes with fiber in them), but of course I'm now hoarding tons of hanks of yarn that I've spun up since I started about 3 months ago.  I'm finally getting around to putting down the spindle and actually knitting up a lace skinny scarf with some!
