I spent a nice quiet peaceful afternoon (a day off work) getting some knitting done.

I screwed up.  Badly.  I dropped a stitch and didn't realize it until several rows' worth of decreases later.  And I messed up the decreases because the dropped stitch meant my counts were off.

My stupid husband is no comfort at all.  "Just calm down" he says.  I wanted to skewer him with a knitting needle, but I didn't want to damage my needles.   Tongue

Now I'm going to have to frog the WHOLE #@)($*_%(&#_)*$(_!#%&# THING.

awww, I totally feel for you. I've abandoned a crocheted baby blanket because of a few missed stitches. By the the time I realised it, it was too late. Shame that it has very nice colours.

Yeah, go on and do something different and come back to it later. It'll make you less murderous towards the project, or maybe husband.... Grin

The first time I tried knitting in a car I made the same mistake, dropped a stitch, here I was happily knitting along wondering why the pattern had gone wonky.  ARG!
