I'm turning my study into a guest bedroom and needed short curtains to I could put a bed right next to them without making them fall weird. I'd never made curtains before but I just whipped these up with a vintage double sheet.

As I was trying to figure out what to do with the scraps- I realized that, with some tweaking, they would make a slipcover for the bed's headboard:

Thanks! Can you tell I like pink!?  Grin Everything in those photos is from thriftstores (curtains, headboard, bedspread, pillowcases)

The curvy top of the headboard doesn't look really hot- my seams aren't very clean. Do you think it would look okay to glue 1.5" pink grosgrain ribbon along the tops/sides? I thought it would either accentuate the girly curves or look really bad. Tongue

I think it is adorable! I would suggest something more for the curtains..some kind of tie back maybe??? If you don't want the view out the window, maybe put a sheer behind but something like that would add alot, I think. (you asked or am I just blah-blahing???) Sorry. I love the room though!

What a cute idea!  I love the way it works with the shape of the headboard!

yes...i would positively add a trim to the headboard...look in the decorator fabric section at joanne's they have tons of stuff that would be an accent....i also agree that you may consider adding something to the curatins to give them a little more POP!..perhas a contrasting fabric sewn at the bottom or ribbon?

The headboard looks good. I can't see the seams in the picture to say it needs something else or it doesn't, but I think it would be a nice touch if you added ribbon. And I like the shape!

And here I thought I was all vintage one-of-the-kindy! Do ya'lls have the 4" of solid pink chenile puffs (not fringe) around the bottom?
