They are just like mine except with different ribbons and the pearl pins.

Wrap the entire stem in one color ribbon or a piece of solid cloth to cover the stem surface fully.  Starting at the top of the stems with your second ribbon (centered in the back), bring both ends to the front and cross them.  Cross them FULLY so that each end goes back in the same direction it came from (this will give it the bulky look rather than lying flat).  Cross, cross, cross.  When you get to the bottom, you can tie a bow in the back like she did, tuck the ends or leave some dangles, which is what I did.

Do more of what makes you happy.

I'm sorry I don't have a picture - but I found some lovely stem wraps that seem similar to the hilt you linked on this website:

I'll search for a tutorial - she calls this "over braid stem wrap"

I did just a simple wrap with pearl headed pins for my bouquets - but this is way prettier. Smiley

Ooh, yes! That's lovely.

I know this is probably too late to be useful, but i found this: http://piratecaptain.deviantart.com/art/Wrap-How-To-52444934 which has a link to the related youtube video. Just in case anyone else stumbles across this thread and is interested.
