Thanks for all your very kind comments.
wow that look great on you!  love both looks, but especially the spring one. i thik it would also look great with charcoal shirt, black belt and black boots for winter.
I have thought about this as an option too, only problem is no charcoal shirt, I'll try it with a black shirt one day just to check.

That looks great! I have this pattern sitting in my stash (as it has done for quite some time now, as I'm worried about pattern adjustments).  I really need to get it out and actually *try* it!   Thanks for the inspiration!
This was one of the B,C,D cup ranges they did. All I had to do was lengthen the bodice and shorten the skirt. By using a fabric with a little stretch it fits well enough across the bust (better than anything store bought anyway). Don't be too scared of the adjustments, it also sews up reasonably quickly.

Love clothes!

I love red, and I love that dress! I'll have to look for that pattern. It would look great with a jacket over the top and no blouse too. I think that lining fabric is funny. I have fabric like that too, stuff I'd never use...I like that you were able to use it and it doesn't show!

I love this dress!  It looks fantastic on you.  Very chic and sexy.

I have to admit, I also quite enjoy the lining fabric for its own merits...

I may not have gone where I intended, but I have ended up where I needed to be.

I love the winter option!  I just wrote a blog about how great red, white and brown are together, what a coincidence.  Smiley

I hope you know how beautiful you are! Cheesy  You really know how to pull an outfit together, and the fact that you made that dress is awesome; looks so good. (Also, kudos and starting a project while tipsy and then STOPPING.) I've had a few mornings of looking at knitting I've done while tipsy the night before and just shaking my head...

Great dress! I think it looks fabulous on you and I like your spring and winter looks but the spring is my favorite. I love how the white shirt pops against the red dress. Your 80's lining rocks too!!

This dress is fantastic!

I love the jumper look, but any time I wear a shirt underneath something like that, it always rides up around the waist. (The shirt, that is.) It makes me sad Sad
Any tips?
