Sewing & Crafts oh my!

So I got a lot done this weekend . . here's what I have been working on
I thought it would be fun to post what were working on  . . .sometimes inspiration from other helps, also I am just looking for comments, as I am always trying to improve a techinique and maybe turn a hobby into something profitable in yrs to come!

This dress is a work in progress, I got inspired after watching a few old audrey movies, whipped this out and then wasn't sure I liked it something about it is not sitting well,

I am thinking about converting it into a shirt and pairing it with a cute pair of white cigarette style  capris'

Then I created two skirt pattern's (actions shots for the Pixie/petal in a PP post)

So here's my renamed Pixie skirt . .lifeless on a hanger! Which I will be modifying this week:

And here is my Wrap Around Twirl skirt:
Don't pay any attention to the lovely strawberry shortcake fabric This is strictly a prototype, as I am not really into cartoon chracter clothing, (only at a very special request Wink) But I got as much fabric at wally world as I could when it was 75% off!

Here's another retro inspired top!

and a little polkadot boutique number I did

. . I was dying to use that fabric it was a walmart find too . . .great thing about this is it can be worn as seperates! . .
here's the twin sis modeling the pants only:

and finally had to do a jean recon I actually did this before the holiday, the bottoms used to be an old a-line skirt that we had accidently spilled bleach on in some parts.

I love the jeans recon! A few comments on the first...I love it as a dress--BUT I think I know what's throwing you off...Is it the way the stripes sit at the side seams? If you gathered the top onto the neckline, the stripes would fall down the drss, and wouldn't meet up there at the sides? Just a thought  Wink

Love these outfits!  I really like the jeans recon with the added fabric.  That is very cute.

The first I think would be really cute as a top with the cigarette pants, but white is hard for kids to wear and not ruin.  Undecided
