My thrift stores are so good. One regularly charges $1 for most of the clothing, and that's where I scored this great painters smock. It was handmade really well from this rad lime green "Farmer Brown" kid's fabric, and only had a few splotches of paint on it. (Which I covered sneakily with matching fabric, but I didn't take pics of that.) I have a weird affinity for clothes that have open backs so between the fabric and comfy, draped cut, all I wanted to do was spruce up the sleeves...

Ta da! Because of the kimono sleeves I didn't have lots of room to fold under the seams, and ended up making my own bias tape. What a simple little trick that is! It was so easy using one of those little metal tools. Oh man, I love the crisp, matching final product. I may finish everything this way from now on.

But wait, there's more!

I had plenty enough fabric from the sleeves to make a matching headband and some shoe clips. I so happy!  Cheesy

Adorable! Shoe clips, what a good idea.

If all our life is but a dream, fantastic posing greed
Then we should feed our jewelry to the sea
