Just finished this set for my daughter to wear to Disney, my first time shirring ever! I had a little machine trouble with the shirring at first (tracked it down to the bobbin thread not being threaded through the catch = no tension = big mess) but it was pretty easy! The bottoms are regular bike shorts with a double ruffle added.

I wish she had let me do a full length dress but she wanted it top length, so here it is.

That is so cute. I like the length looks great on her.  Love the color combinations.  I still haven't got the shirring down yet so you did well.

Thank you! The elastic thread is not hard to find, I found it on the notions wall near other elastics, in black and white.

Oh, this is just lovely! It looks like its boutique quality!
 I really like the ruffly bike shorts under it, your daughter is free to play and get on and off rides @ disney without a care.
