I am organizing my first swap, and so far I feel like it's been going well. However,I have a question I wanted to figure out ASAP, so it doesn't turn in to a problem.

I asked everyone to post in the swap thread at least once a week. While it hasn't quite been a week since partner assignments there are a few people who haven't posted yet.
I also received a PM from one swapper asking if I could check on their partner as none of their PMs had been answered.
I took that opportunity to send PMs to not only the swapper in question, but also to everyone who hadn't posted yet. It was a nice message, just making sure they were still around.

My question is this: I still have not heard from the swapper whose partner asked me to check in. I don't want one partner to make a package and end up being flaked on. But I also don't want to count someone out of the swap if they are out of touch for a bit. What should I do?

First of all, it's good to be paranoid.  haha  You can save yourself a lot of trouble by going on your instincts.  Personally, if I will be out of touch for awhile, I let the organizer and my partner know.  The best advice I can give you is to open a help ticket and let the MODs help you out!  They are there to give you direction!

I took up running so that I could eat more, not because it feels good.  haha
I can make almost anything out of polymer clay! :P

Have you sent a REAL email to the swapper? Do they have another way of being reached (myspace, ravelry, etc)?

Also, if you think that they (swapper A) might be a bit flakey, have their partner (swapper B) NOT send off the swap package until they (swapper A) has given you proof of shipment. Smiley

I still sell my clay crafts...email me if you are interested in ordering something. kishcrafts@gmail.com

Thanks for the advice guys! I emailed the swapper and submitted a help ticket, so it should be resolved soon!
