Not now darling, mummy's sewing!

So I've had another baby, and he was already 2lbs heavier than his big sister at birth and too big for the mei tai I made for her nearly two years ago:

So I made him a new one!

I whipped this up in about 2 hours while DS was asleep yesterday (gotta love kindy days when the house is toddler-free!) using Beth's Mei Tai pattern. Awesome. DS loves it too. Even managed to pop out a tit and feed him in it! How's that for hands-free??

Do you think he likes the mei tai? Wink

He looks adorable!

And yay for hands-free boobie feeding!

I saw a pattern for one of these at Jo-Ann's today. I might pick it up for use later in life, because the sling I made to carry my nephew turned out quite wonky. Tongue

Don't buy a pattern, it's free online!

I so wish I had internet when my girls were babies. I would have made one of these had a pattern presented itself.
He looks very blissful.
Congrats on your new baby.

Thanks so much for this!
My 7 week old son's favourite position is on a chest, which makes it really difficult to do stuff. I've wanted to make one of these, but not having seen one in person, and only having found empirical patterns, was a bit leery.
Now if I can just get to the fabric store I think I could attempt this...

oooh love it!
My wrap is getting a bit cumbersome with m son now, and I can't really feed him in his pouch sling. I think I'm gonna have to make us one of these nwo as well.

Go babywearers!

Don't buy any patterns! Tell me EXACTLY what kinda sling you want, and I will find you tutorials and patterns and directions. No mom should have to be without a sling.

LOVE the MT. My daughter is 16.5 months and still uses hers EVERY SINGLE DAY! Have you tried a lexi twist?
