Got a bookmark folder full of "I should really make this"....but only seem to make for other people especially swaps Cheesy?  Seems like the only crafting I do is for others and hardly ever for myself!

This swap is for you!
This swap is open to everyone (over 13 of course Wink)
Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): Yes - 25
Restricted to people who all live in the same country? No
Make a list of things you have been wanting to make (4-6 hours of crafting time)
Make a list of things you might like to have made for  you (or look at the want to make lists of the others in the swap!)
When you get your partner, craft one for yourself and using the same pattern craft one for your partner - hence the one for me, one for you...
Take a picture of both of said finished items (bonus if you're in it Cheesy)
Box up the one for your partner - send it out on or before deadline...
After your partner has received/posted joyful action shots, you post the pic of both finished items!
Easy Peasy!!!

Please read this whole long winded page before sending your form in - and don't post in this thread until you have been added to the list of participants!

Crafter organizing swap - Craftydeb
Coorganizer (if needed) - Muria
Signup range - July 1- July 14
Partner assignments - July 15
Send out date - Sept 2

This is a long crafting time - so you must check in the thread at least once a week after partners have been assigned!

You must have access to a camera to get feedback in this swap.

Okay - the swappy detail goodies..

Make a list of some projects that you have been dying to make
then make a list of things you might like to receive (or wait to see the lists of the things that people want to make)
And I will try my best to match you up with someone who wants to receive something that is on their list and for you to get something you would love in return.

After you have been officially added to the list of crafters - you MUST post in the thread and post your list(s) preferably with links
This is where the preshow begins!
Your list can grooooow when you see other people's lists... this is to benefit you really not to mention be a REALLY bad influence on you as you discover more things that you might like to receive or to make - and it will be a ton of fun to add/change to your lists!
*To edit your lists all you have to do is go back to your original post and click on the modify tab(upper right corner of your post) and you can add to your lists of want to makes and want to receives... your lists might change by the time partner assignments are made - and I will take that all in to account.  Make sure you move them around if you want to have some sort of priority made there.....!

*Until partners have been assigned only modify your post - keep this thread clean and easy to find other people's lists - you can chatter all you want in the new swap theme thread just not here - after the partners have been assigned you can post here for your mandatory weekly checkins - or when you need some encouragement..a kick in the arse.... a shoulder to cry on when you need to rip out 2 hours of work...etc...!

Sign up form...

Here is my list of things I have been dying to make but never seem to make the time to work up!

A lap quilt or baby quilt I don't know what style yet but I have been threatening to make a quilt. This is at the top of my list now!
a tree skirt - like this one...
a set of 4 picnic placemats...
fabric wrapped basket (no lid) but really cool - not plain at all! With handles and whatnot!
as seen in this book (I have made some for swaps but none for me!!)
the thanksgiving turkey placemats on this page...
a set of patchwork placemats..
another big horking bag - but with inside and outside pockets and a flap - first one made from this tutorial - tweaked to have a flat bottom but want more pockets for the next one!
a scoodie...
machine knit slippers - I own #1, 3, 4 and 7.... so cute!
a travel document holder..
a quilted patchwork basket or two
a fabric box...
newly added..
a fabric knight's shield - I have an idea of how I want this to be made - with timtex, quilt batting, material etc.... satin stitch edges and a handle on the wrong side so that it can be held... This would be for a kid of course (mine specifically - maybe yours too?? Grin)

things I would really love to get...
yoga socks like these...
gnome tshirts
knitted hat
dog bed

boy I know these lists are going to grooooow!!!  I just wanted to get something up to kickstart this swap!

I love seeing what all y'all want to make! I've been looking at everyone's wists a lot more since I joined this swap. My list is waaay too long, but I'm gonna post it anyway. And one or two of these things are a bit small for this swap, I think. But I'm gonna stick 'em in the list anyway, so there! :p

Anything I want to make I also wouldn't mind receiving, BTW.

Paperback Book Cover -  Too late, already made it! :p

Paisley D-Ring Bag

Triangular Cosmetics Bag - Too small...I'll have to make it ON MY OWN!

Singlet Style Shopping Bag (Several)

Needle Book

Bloody Pillow

Baby Doll (Butterick 4090)

Animal Neck Pillow (Simplicity 5310)

Everything Bag (added from athenamat)

Reusable Sandwich Wrap (added from athenamat and longtimegeek)

Note Taker

Drawing Portfolio

Dismembered Dolly

Amigurumi Moogle

Mini Baby

Tetris Scarf

Police Line Scarf

Moogle Purse

Creepy Alice Doll

Messenger Bag

These "later" projects are really piling up....  **= favorites

**Stained glass quilt (small)

 **craftADDchick's Grow A Bag

Paper bag calendar

Cabled Crochet hat

"other" Infinity dress

Picnic placemats

**spiral skirt

puffy "biscuit" pillow

**Card Table playhouse

Nairobi bag

A crafting to-do list organizer

Crafts I like (but don't have the pattern):

**redstar13's apron:  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=245070.msg2710464#msg2710464

Mobius Wrap: http://www.gourmetcrochet.com/index_files/Page9971.htm (though I could use a different stitch pattern and make the same *kind of thing)

1940s Swing Dress: http://www.sensibility.com/pattern/swing.htm

Bias cut slip dress: http://www.birchstreetclothing.com/prod.php?itemID=11&colID=9  (Vogue also has a pattern similar: 8417, I think)

**Knitting (can't complete a large project in time: barring crafting chaos, I could probably do two calorimetries (or maybe more), but I doubt I'd be able to finish four socks)

Would love something like this, but can't do it myself:
**CP or HP soap

**Stained glass

**Machine embroidery (like the butterfly in craftydeb's avatar!)

I'm sure I'll come up with more before sign-ups are over.  Roll Eyes  Grin

Ok, here goes.  I am deviant and non-conformist, and I am making three lists:

*an ATC alphabet

*a steampunky (pseudo-victorian) vest with lots of pockets (I haven't drafted a pattern or done sketches or anything yet... but something in the same family as this and the jacket here)

*a Moy Gown  (scroll down for picture)

*a simple 1700s frock coat

*cloth pads (like these or these, perhaps)

*a tudor rose purse only with a single long strap

*handmade paper (particularly in large sheets, but small ok)

*I would love to have a large set of decorative magnets (glass marbles, decorative alphabets, fridge scrabble w/o the board, maybe) and/or push pins

*art yarn (I've got a bunch of "this is cool" examples in my wists)

*superwash sock yarn

*a winged sweater, though preferably with a less square cut front, so it doesn't show my bra...

*a new pair of fingerless gloves

*rainbow striped leg warmers

*either the edwardian underthings or the "frillies" off cat9's list... Smiley

although I admit to some fascination with the ideas of chicomich's magnetic fridge doll (or possibly some combination of that and the dark Alice) and craftydeb's little red riding hood hat, either of which I ought in theory to be able to make...
