i made both of these costumes from scratch for halloween '07.
We've been Featured at geekcrafts.com !!!
here is me and my guy at a university halloween party.

i am the christmas present: silver pumps, red tights, two big ol' boxes taped together and gift wrapped with paper and ribbon, long red satiny gloves, jingle bell earrings, red glitter on my cheeks, and a big gift bow in my hair. it was a success, people stopped and asked to take pictures with me. and, i was the only gift in the whole place!

he is a headcrab zombie from the game halflife, or halflife 2. i don't know, i just make the things. he has on a headcrab i sewed from tan vinyl. there is wire in the long legs for bendy posey fun! the pincher teethy things are from rubber devil horns, i cut them up and e600-ed those mo-fo's in place. it has some varying colors of acrylic paint to look like a "real headcrab" and dried blood. mmm-mm thats good eats!  tied on to his head with a strap of leftover from the shirt hes wearing. a plain white shirt i destroyed with and xacto knife. the organs are made from half of a fake apple, a fake loaf of bread split in half, a wadded up piece of felt, and the ribs are broken plastic hanger bits. woo-hoo for the dollar store! the zombie-like gloves were purchased from a party store. right before the party we went outside and i doused him with fake blood. it was creepy and freezing cold. it looks like the real thing when its coming out of the bottle. i poured it into a small plastic bowl and dabbed it on with a foam brush as well as poured it on for drips.

i'm searching for more pictures of us, there must be full body shots floating around somewhere.
all i have to say is too bad we missed the costume contest, i think we were a hit.

That headcrab zombie costume rocks!

My boyfriend wants to be one this year for Halloween, but my sewing skills are...well...sucky, so I bought him the headcrab hat from Steam as part of his birthday present.

I <3 Personal Swaps and can crochet pretty much anything! PM me!
