I love pa'u skirts..they are an art within itself since there is so much elastic and they have to be a certain length and flow a certain way on your body so that you can sway a little and make the skirt sway alot..I love pa'u skirts..great job..and now that you shown you have pa'u skills you are going to have to make the whole halau skirts..hehe...

its ME!!

Those are nice and I really like the last green one.

But I am a bit confused about how you made these. When you say they are 5 casing over 4 yards, what casings? Are they gathered at the top? Sorry, but I can't see the tops.  Huh

Basically you just sew 5 rows of casings at the top. Then in three rows you add elastic to gather it. Like this.
That equals one casing. Insert elastic and voila! Instant flowy skirt.

Thanks to everyone for such sweet comments! I'm lucky that a lot of the women in my Halau know how to sew even though we did have a craft day. Another woman and I sat down and made tops for the whole group. It took all day but it was fun! I'm glad to know that there are other Craftsters out there that dance Hula!!!!!!

(I have to admit that I wear my Pa'us everywhere! Not just for Hula!)
