I've cleaned up this thread a little bit.  please keep this thread about the tops, not whether they are appropriate for toddlers to wear or not.  each parent can make up their own minds about what they child can wear, and this is not a place to discuss that.  so pleasr keep this about crafting, which is what craftster is all about!

Thank you so much for saying that thank you. As for the tops they are cute and so is the child wearing them. I am going to make my god daughter a top well the tops as well. Thanx for posting the pattern.

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

I know this thread is sorta old but it is starting to warm up here (60 out right now!) and it's making me think of Spring/Summer clothes. This thread inspired me to create a halter top for my daughter last summer. Pictures were taken 6/29/06

If you want details on how I made it, check my blog post here: http://flybabytina.blogspot.com/2006/06/amandas-halter-top-pattern.html
Anybody know how to make the pictures side by side? Huh Huh

*pouts*
I want a little girl of somesort to smother with halter tops. Instead I get my Mutant (whom I love to pieces, but he'd look a little funny in a halter with boobie triangles Tongue).
I think I'm going to try and "blow" this up to big girl size for myself. All the halters that you can still see pictures of are ADORABLE.

Hello,

Both the white top and your daughter are darling.  Can you please tell me how to purchase the pattern?
Thanks!

I love love love this and your daughter is so beautiful.

I'm making this right now and the apron part is getting wider and wider with each row.  Is this supposed to happen?  I can't tell from your picture.

Thank you for your help!
I'll post a picture when I'm finished.

I think I'm going to try and make this for myself. The pattern seems easy enough to make for bigger people. I'm not huge when it comes to boobies [..............understatement of the year.........], so that should make it easier already. I'm defanitely going to need more yarn than I would need for a toddler. But I have to give myself projects for the summer, because I can't make shawls [too hot!] and I'm just going to have to wait until my brother and sister and law give me a neice or nephew, who is going to be swimming in crocheted projects from the day he/she's born until he/she starts throwing out my stuff. Tongue

I'll post pictures when I finish, let you know how it went. Thanks for the pattern!
