I think more people would larp if they knew how fun it is and how rare you actually get a serious injury.

Actually I would larp more if #1, I didn't live in the frelling desert where it is insanely hot most of the year, and #2, I could actually find a chapter here to larp with....Smiley

I think after terrain weather is a LARPers biggest enemy, of before terrain depending on where you live...

It does make getting the clothing portion down challenging.  Here in Texas we have Summer garb, Winter garb (which anywhere else is not heavy enough for fall but okay if it's warm) and Wet garb.  By company bros in El Paso have Summer garb and "we're going to the mountains" winter garb and cloaks.  The bros we have in Minnesota have Wet Winter garb, Dry Winter garb, and Wet and dry general (which for us southerners would be winter garb.

so Wet/Dry and Hot/Temperate/Cold tend to be our variables with the occasional Humid to go with hot....

then some of us nuts do indoor only  Grin  on top of everything else... like this stuff

yeah.. we're a breed apart...
