Gotta have my coffee <3

So I had a ton of bottle caps I had collected over the past few months, and had no idea what to do with them. That is, until I realized I had two rather ugly gold and brown picture frames lying around.

I spray painted the frames and backing with a glossy coat of rustoleum (Found it lying around in the basement), and spaced random bottle caps between the glass and backing.

They jiggle around a little, but I think that makes it rather fun.

It took a while to collect all the caps since we're usually beer drinkers (from a can), so I had some friends save the caps from their girlie-drinks as well. The assorted smirnoff caps add a great bunch of color!

I'm hoping to find a glass top coffee table at a yard sale this weekend to match. Except for the painting, it's very easily reversible, so it's something you don't have to worry about growing out of at any point.

Cost:
2 re-used picture frames - free (originally $2)
Quick coat of spray paint - free (if you've already got it)
Bottle caps - free (just harass friends!)

Total time - about 1 hour, not including drying time on the paint

Neat-o. I always want to make stuff with my bottle caps, but usually end up losing them. Or the old-school Coke machine eats them. (I have an undying obsession with glass bottle Cokes.)

That's a great way to display your favorite bottle caps.

This is a very cool idea. I have about 10 pounds of bottle caps and now I know what to do with them.
