A life? Can you crochet one?

Who here loves Bleach?! I know I do...

I went to see the Bleach anime movie 'Memories of Nobody' on Thursday. Ohhh was it ever spectacular! Four of my friends and myself came with me to the 'two-night only' showing at our local movie theater. Through out the entire film I was scrutinizing Kon. Kon is a stuffed lion who hosts a soul-thingy in the series. But he's adorable! *fangirl squee of joy* I studied his construction and then, the next day, I crocheted my very own Kon!

Please note, I cannot make a pattern for him since Kon is not my own creation, but the creation of the author of Bleach.

On with this pics!!!

And here's a picture of the 'real' Kon for all you non-Bleach watchers:

He's the lion, duh.

Hahaha, hope you enjoy my freakish fan girl-ness, and yay Bleach!
All my love,

I may not have heard of Bleach but I do know this is SUPERCUTE! Pretty good for just studying it on screen!

Everyone's a photographer.

KON!  AHHH!  I LOVE KON! Cheesy And as a SUPREME Bleach fangirl, you have to tell me you watched the movie in Japanese with English subtitles!  Otherwise, that is just painful.  Not that the dub is horrible...but it's pretty terrible.  I need to learn how to crochet...mainly because I see inspiring projects like this! Wink  Amazing job, this is awesome! Cheesy

Ah! My brothers would love this! Kon is a favorite of both of them.

And I agree with you on the movie, it is awesome! I saw it sometime last year, and I think it's about time I had a refresher.  Cheesy

Personal swap? Ooooh, pick me, pick me!

Looks good! Would be a great project for the anime swap (yes, run by me: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=250620 ), if you're interested.

Not that you have to join or anything.  Though I think there's more than one Bleach fan signed up already.

Anyway, like I said, it looks really good! Did you do it freehand, or plan it out?  My freehand efforts at crochet tend to turn into plan it outs (and rip it outs).  Smiley

Where did all this fabric come from? I CAN'T have bought THAT much!

How adorable!  I don't know Bleach, but when I saw him I thought of the Kenya's Got Lions song.

Yay! Kon! I've been meaning to sew a plush of him forever! Yours looks great and just like him!  Grin
