I took apart some old jewlery, mixed in some new beads, and here's what I have:
This set has the old blue beads and silver spirals from a previous pair of earrings, plus 2 new paper beads made from a magazine page.

In this set, all the brown beads are from a hand-me-down necklace that was really ugly, and the shell pendant is from a different old necklace.  The small shell beads are new.

I also made an earring holder for fishhook style earrings out of an old picture frame.  It was the kind where the glass clips onto the wood back with small metal clips, but the glass broke.  I painted it black, put the carpet tacks around the edges, and then wrapped with copper wire. Viola!
