I've been wanting to make a recipe card holder for a while and this idea came to me today. For the base I used one of those little drink mix tubs (like you get from Crystal Light mixes) and two packing peanuts to hold the stem in place. I wrapped some floral wire around the top and made a couple loops to hold the card. Then I glued fake ivy leaves around the base as well as some flat marbles. Lastly I glued in the stem to make sure it would be secure. I recommend applying the hot glue to the leaves and not directly on the packing peanuts, they melt!
This goes well with my red and black themed kitchen Smiley
If anyone is wondering, I found the cute recipe cards at Target in their dollar bins, and they were on sale for 25 cents for a pack of 60! Needless to say I bought 4 packs Wink
Thanks for looking
