I'm WinnekMetal,

Ive recently graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Making.  I just wanted to show some of my stuff... umm, :-P  I really dont know how else to introduce myself.

The footprint in this brooch is reticulated silver, and a base of textured sterling silver with granulation for the splash effect.

This brooch was created for the inauguration of the first Woman president of the University of North Texas.  It is chased and repoussed sterling silver and a half spiculum with a bezel set jade stone.

Necklaces and Pendants:

This necklace is a chain of cut copper tubing and silver jump rings. The pendant is three dollar bills set in sterling silver with a penny dangle,  and the clasp is sterling silver and a penny. The detail follows.

This necklace is a series of copper and sterling silver strips, letter punched in a conflicting conversation, the detail follows.

Random Metal Work:

This is a ceiling hanging. Its roller printed copper, with the main piece being an electroformed strip  and a solder inlay. the detail follows.

This is a hand raised silver cup with a twisted and forged copper wire base, its a functional wine cup.

This is a enameled plate in the style of Arthur G. Dove's "A Barn Here, A Tree There" it is held on a copper base.

This is a mask made of Copper, Sterling Silver, and hand made Shibuichi (a copper rich silver alloy) It is constructed with brass tube rivets.

Well thats it!  I hope you liked it!

Beautiful, beautiful work. I'm wowed! Gosh, I need to learn how to do this. And you say what? That you can actually do a degree in this!?

Why on earth am I slogging away at a Zoology degree when I could be learning to do this!

Hope to see more from you soon. Wink

The winged brooch and the spirally hanging thing are my faves. I love the texture in the spiral, it looks like it's been under the sea and gotten encrusted with barnacles and stuff Cheesy
