HI ! So 2 years ago I started my Simple Knitted Bodice from Stitchdiva, along with the knitalong here on Crafster, I chose white mohair from my stash and finished the body pretty fast and smoothly.. I made a size S, with just a couple added increases. Also, changed the lace pattern for my Isabeau lace pattern.

But when I tried it on I was dissapointed by the fit (made size S), which actually is not surprising seing how I had given birth to my 2nd daughter only a few months before and was still breastfeeding her..but ahem, I disgress !
I was also unsure about the sleeves. I knew I didn't want the lace panel but wasn't sure it would look right sans-lace.. So somehow it got tucked in a bag, you know, until I had decided what to do... ;-)

Anywho. Then this week-end I set my foot on the bag where this WIP had been set aside for so long. I wondered whether to just frog it all and reuse the yarn, decided to at least try it on, and surprise.. Ha !! Now it fits me just perfectly ! :-D
I also realised it would actually be best without sleeves, more like a vest.
I tend to wear my vesty sweaters tons lately ! Plus it's a lovely superwarm mohair, and would probably end up too warm with long sleeves...!!

I started right away, ripped a few rounds of the started sleeves, added 2 garter ridges on each sleeve. Then picked up all those darn stitches for the collar (it wasn't as bad as I feared though), finished the last couple rows today..

And Ta da !! My sweater is done !! And I love it and will wear it tons !! :-D

One thing I don't like though: the little whiter diamond at the bottom of the collar.. :-/   I might rip the seams and do some cutting/fixing...

( Oh and in case you're wondering, the weather is SO crappy here in France these days that YES I am wearing it as I type, all cozy and warm in my new sweater !! :-D  )

Love it.
Bought myself some Tilli Tomas and was thinking of starting on that pattern...
Just a thought, instead of cutting and stitching, how's about some beading to that white diamond in the cetre to make it pop out all the more?
