I made this for my DS, for his 3rd birthday, using a vanilla cake mix, and some marzipan icing. He absolutley loved it, but ended up in hospital, as after eating it, we found out he is allergic to green colouring! Poor sod, he was ok, but it was quite scary! So,now all birthday cakes must be mario, no luigi or yoshi haha!

Hope you enjoy, and I hope I posted in the right spot Undecided

that's sad and funny. It is a wonderful cake.

It's a strange world. Some people get rich and others eat shit and die

Thanks guys...yeah it is weird, he had a lime flavoured drink once, and was allergic to that and had to go to hospital, then the same thing happened with the cake, so he had a test done, and yep, allergic to green food colouring LOL Embarrassed

What if you mixed blue and yellow food colorings. Then would the green be ok? I'm glad he's OK now and it's such a cute cake!!!!

That's adorable! I wish someone would bake ME a Yoshi cake. Sad I've never decorated a cake with marzipan before. Is it a pain?

That sucks that your son is allergic to green colouring... That means no Bowser Cake... and that makes me cry.
