Anyone can recommend me which machine i should get for my needs?

I'm rather new in the whole sewing machine hobby. So i'm practicality clueless.
I just started a few lessons but enjoyed enough to know i would like to do it long term.
Rather then clothes, i looking to make more of accessories like bags, purses, cases. Which means layers of fabric and interfacing. So i need a sturdy machine thats able to handle the thickness.

I was recommend the following model for my budget:

QXL605 (BNIB) is a new model supposedly to replace the 6260QC which had lots of great reviews.

MC6600P (display set)
Old model but was told it a heavy duty workhorse. The sales person told me i'm able to sew even light weight leather on it.

I tetsed both machines and they both fee great. But i wasn't able to test them with layers of heavy weight fabric though.
The price difference of the two is US$500. Actually the MC 6600P is off my budget by a couple of hundred. The only reason i'm leaning towards MC6600P is because of the power it has from the word of the sales person. I would love a 2nd opinion. Is the power between the 2 really big and justifies the $500 difference? The MC6600P also has more sitches and also monogram fonts but i don't need those perks.

All in all i just want a machine that can go through layers of fabrics and maybe vinly and leather?

And advise would be greatly appreciated Smiley
