Finally found the camera and managed to get the pictures cropped to actually fit on a normal screen! Yay! Here is the loveliness sent to me by Kmartkid!

First thing I saw when I opened the box was this spiffy book cover. It even has a bookmark! How'd you know I like periwinkle??

The detail's not too good on the buttons, but there's a huge variety for my buttony experiments! And a purple pouch I can decorate with some buttons, AND a button-eyed cat! I wonder if he'll get along with my stuffed penguins?

And as if all that loot wasn't enough, Kmartkid sent a book in the book cover!

Thanks Kmartkid! And thanks everyone for being patient...the camera I used is *actually* not mine, so it took a bit longer to post than I planned.

I saw Julieboolie's message, and quickly ran to my front door, and there it was.  I quickly ripped open the box.  I love the cute jar with the cork stopper, filled with all the buttons.  It was so clever to line the jar with the all the yo-yo brooches.  I didn't check out all the buttons yet but they look fabulous.  I love them all.
UPS must have thrown the box on their truck, because the frame unfortunately, didn't survive.  It was dented, the buttons were all off, and of course, the glass was broken.  I'm so sorry Julie as I know you worked very hard on putting it together. I'll try to salvage the buttons and  picture of the rose, and put it in a new frame.  As long as you took pictures, you can post them as I wouldn't be able to get pictures until my daughter comes over with her camera, and of course we wouldn't be able to get a picture of the frame to show everyone.  Thanks so much Julie.  You did a wonderful job.

everyone has made such great stuff!
i love everything that melyssa_marie sent, though my pictures don't really do the goods justice...if you have better pics, melyssa, please add to it!
first off, gratuitous kitten shot of napoleon guarding the packages for me:

then to the actual goodness...

amazing embroidery...i love the fabric and her work is so clean and even and beautiful!  i haven't decided where it's going to hang yet, but for now it's propped next to my desk, so i see it all the time.  Smiley
this is all the other loot together:

the picture shows cute red and white button earrings, a little zipper pouch on a handy ring, all the wonderful buttony goodness, including very cool "unusual value in fashion buttons" on cards--i love ad cards from old buttons!  i sent a few your way, too!  Wink  and a neat compact mirror with a cameo thingie on the front and some tiger stripes on the back...here's a closer shot of that...

my camera is being pissy about pictures of the little buttons, but there are some awesome, unique finds here...love the little dice, the wonderful face and the squarish red one, in particular!
thank you so much, m_m for being my partner and the organizers for making it all happen.  it's been a lot of fun, for sure...and adding new buttons to the herd always makes me happy.  Smiley

porn-by-numbers, the wave of the future!
