I'm interested in making this thread a place to post all links to free/reasonably priced crochet patterns that could be considered quirky/nerdy/geeky. For instance, video game crochet, D&D crochet, science/math crochet, anime/manga crochet, and whatever else people are interested in!

I suppose I could start by giving out some links to some D&D related things:

D4 and D6: http://stuffpeasiemade.wordpress.com/2007/04/05/roll-damage/
D8 and D20: http://stuffpeasiemade.wordpress.com/2007/04/14/hey-crocheters-can-you-help/
The Beholder: http://www.theanticraft.com/archive/imbolc08/beholder.htm

Does anyone else out there have any patterns they'd like to share? I'd LOVE to see them! Smiley

I made a pattern that is very geeky. I am oh so proud of it.

I'm pretty sure there are patterns out for an amirigumi fellowship of the ring.

That's all I can find without expecting too much effort.

I found this one for Borromean rings.

I don't know anything about it, but the explanation set off all my Nerd Alert lights! And besides, I think they look cool...

Crochet uses a hook. Pirates have hooks, and they are cool. So crochet is cool because of the hook.

I found more!!

The Lorenz manifold - huge, beautiful, impressive but would equal a month's rent in materials...

There are some more links at the bottom of the page for math art and hyperbolic shapes, moebius strips and the like.

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.
