My teen daughter volunteered my crochet services to one of her friends who needed an Ipod cover/pouch. My daughter liked the cases in The Happy Hooker book, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what the pattern was telling me to do for the front face part and the pocket. I did the clear vinyl part just fine, but I did my own thing for the monkey face and the inner pocket. There is a full pocket between the back clear vinyl cover and the face, so you can put your ear buds in there. I also added a short handle to make carrying a bit easier. Here are the pictures. Oh, her friend LOVED it! I do too! I hated to give it up, but I don't have an Ipod!

Crocheting is like prostitution.  First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.  Maybe that is why they call us Hookers?

That's awesome I love it too. I have a iPod Nano what size is that for?

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

It is for the regular Ipod, which is larger than the Nano.

Thanks for the comments!

He's adorable! Once I get better at following patterns I just may need to make myself one of these little guys. I think you did an awesome job. Smiley

I never thought of a crochet MP3 case!  I have a little sansa, not an ipod, so I can't really follow an ipod pattern, though...

I REALLY like the monkey and little ears!!!

Using the clear plastic is a great idea.
