I finally made an Emmeline apron and I'm so proud of it! I have loved the design since I first saw it and finally broke down and bought the pattern. It took about 3 hours... I made my own binding but didn't hand sew. I added D rings to it instead of having it tie around the neck, I find these easier to use when cooking.
It's for my mom's birthday. I want to keep it! I better get started on my own...
Comments would be greatly appreciated :-)

Full view on Jack Sparrow, I don't have a dress dummy :-)

Me wearing it... too impatient to do my hair or take off my hoodie for pictures...

Close up of the patterns. I used a muslin for the contrast.

I can not wait to buy this pattern! I love aprons and it looks like this turned out great! Any tips you would have for someone just making it?

I love your fabrics, and that D ring thing great idea!!  I have made several emmeline aprons! I love it!!!  My hint for those that are new to sewing or like me too lazy to make their own binding. I bought some 3/4" or 1" blanket binding.  for the apron I used 1 package.  Now I need to make myself one to keep, since Ikeep giving them away.

Yeah, you just need 2 yards of binding. I used less since I changed the neck strap. It's actually a pretty easy pattern. I have plans for a few more, expecially since my sister saw it once I gave it to my mom.  Wink
