I think I am missing something on the baby swirls patter.  Admittedly I am only six rows in and have ripped it back twice because it just "looks" wrong.  At the end I think I am just going to get a parallelogram shape.  Is that right???
Here's the link to the pattern: http://www.geocities.com/crochethut/babyswirls.html
and someone else's pictures: http://flickr.com/photos/20905241@N00/
Please help?  My yarn is "sticky" so when I rip, I literally *rip* chunks out to throw in the trash.
ALso ... I am down to 24 stitches, instead of 29.  I am not sure where this keeps happening.

I don't have time today but I will try the pattern out tomarrow and see how it works out for me. MAybe if you have some reg yarn try the pattern out with it so your not ruining your nice yarn.

I saw the photo and thought maybe I'd make this hat too, since it is kinda cute. Is it worked flat? Seems so from rows 2 and 3 (instructions to turn, and also "row" instead of "round"). But there really aren't directions for sewing up. If it is worked flat, I would expect it to look sorta like a parallelogram. I would far rather work in the round so there is no seam. Sad

Looks a lot like this scrubbie, only made bigger to be a hat.
And if so, then yes it should be a parallelogram.
