Hello all!

So I have been admiring alot of people's painted works on their slip-on vans like shoes and I have been dying to do my own. I went to walmart the other day and could not find any plain white slip ons!  Which was a surprise to me, because they always have some in stock for (pardon me) the grandmas of the world. I found some in the guy section, but none that would fit my feet. Then I proceeded to target, but to no avail. Got home and tried to see if I could get the guys shoes in my size from walmart.com and they did not have them on their site! Ugh!

Does anyone know where I can find some cheap, plain, vans like, slip-ons? Any websites that might carry them? Or maybe could you tell me the brand of some shoes you have used in the past to paint on and I can start from there?

Thank you so much!

I thought I've seen some at Micheal's. But I wasn't looking for them so I didn't really pay them too much attention.

I usually get mine at payless. They seemed to fit more comfortably and lasted longer than the walmart version.

I used to use walmart shoes all the time, but when I couldn't find sizes anymore I checked with the Shoe Dept Manager.  I was told that WalMart was phasing out the white canvas shoes.  They may carry some in the summer, but not like they used to.

I'd go to Ross, T.J. Maxx, or Rugged Wearhouse. I'd also go to a thrift store, but there isn't one near me.

I'm looking for Simplicity 6340 (the 1970's sailor dress). PM me if you've got a copy to swop or sell! Cheesy
