Hi everyone! Well, I just made my first skirt from scratch! Im also having a batik class, so I thought I should try it at home as well. Well, here goes nothing!

the front

and the back

I bought 100% white cotton fabric, I draw my version of the "tree of life" on the front and I just doodled on the back, and then painted it orange! Very easy actually, but I had to hand sew it all as I dont allow myself to buy a sewing machine until July that I finish university!!

What do you guys think?

I REALLy need a personal swap!! I just have one wish: A DRESS!!! Pleeeeease!!!

It's beautiful!  I love the color, the batik, and the cut, the whole thing is just gorgeous!  And I'm in awe of your hand-sewing skills.  I'd be really afraid to wear anything that I stitched by hand...

That is absolutely beautiful! I am so jealous. The shape and colouring are just perfect!

Hand sewed? That's great! I've only ever sewed little cat pillows by hand, so I can't imagine making something that I would want to wear. I don't have those skills yet.
