great first project! skirts arent really THAT easy to make either so if you got through that im sure you have many a great things up your sleeve!

cheesedip: ah, i wonder how many of us bought the fabric just waiting for something to do with it...

amybarnett: no, we all chose different patterns in our class. this actually isn't my pattern for the class, i am doing simplicity 4070 for that. i can't wait to finish and post that.

all of the comments are so awesome and encouraging, i really appreciate it.

That skirt looks like it was MADE for you ... oh wait, it WAS!   Grin

It does hang just perfect. You should be very very proud of yourself.

I quilt, but am afraid to try to make clothes. I've even got five or six different "easy" patterns I've bought along with the fabric, but haven't had the cajones to give it a shot. You did a great job!
