Hi there!

I bought some lovely peacock feathers and some earring hooks to make some earrings, but I'm stumped as to finding the best way to put the two together. Does anyone have a tutorial for peacock feather (or just plain feather) earrings? I would appreciate it. Thank you! <3

I have made these, although I don't have a tute per say, or even pics to show.
but it was SUPER easy, so I'm sure I can explain it well enough.
So , holding the feather with the colourful side pointed downwards, first I peeled off the fringe of feathers, at the top that I didn't want as part of the earring. That left a long white-ish flat 'stick' with a bulbous feathery part at the bottom.
then cut the top of the 'stick', leaving about 1 inch of bare stick above the feathery part. Then slice part of that flat stick off - making the stick thinner adn more maleable, but still with enough structural strength to stay together.
Put a crimping bead on to the stick, adn slide it down to the feathery part. Pass the end of the end of the stick back through the crimping bead, leaving a loop. Crimp.
Now you just need to attach your earring hardware by the loop you created. Voila!

if this is not clear pm me and I'll make you some pics:)

Thank you! That's about the method I decided to use, but I thought there might be a trick to it I was missing. I appreciate it! Smiley
