I would never have thought to use a bracelet on a top! Great ingenuity. The new top looks really awesome, definitely something I'd buy in a store!  Grin

you guys really made my night! I think actually these bracelets are coming back in style, but it actually was pretty easy. I was inspired by all the lovely tops in the stores, but i was like...nuh uh..i'm not paying that price for a jersey knit top! so i bought some fabric.......

Because the fabric is jersey, its really easy to gather, so I did that with the top part (didnt even sew down the edges, they just rolled in themselves) and then sewed on a back piece. No pattern, just sort of fitted it on me. Put in a strip of elastic for the back, sewed a rectangular base for the bracelet at the top, added my straps (again which just rolled in with raw edges), and then pinned til it fit my body.  easy peasy lemon squeasy
