Ahhh feels good to post stuff again! In my never ending crusade to procrastinate and not study for my Roman Art exam I will share with you two lovely bags!

My friend Tori loved this bird bag I made for her b-day the other day. The birdie is made out of felt and adorned with a couple of sequins on the wing. I used real canvas fabric and an Alexander Henry blue lining. Oh plus a pocket and a funky velcro. I hate glued velcros, ugh.

Starry canvas down here is the same concept as the previous one but heavier on the sequins (and that's bad WHY?Huh) Unfortunately, canvas fabric frays easily at the ends, so the outline of the star is not as neat as I would like it to be.

I am so happy to be making bags and crafts once again! Hooray for old sewing machine bought at Goodwill!  Grin

I love them both, and I think the slight fraying on the star looks great.

These are unreal! I really love the star bag with all the beads and sequins. It looks really good! (and of course i love the bird bag too, who couldnt!  Grin) Fantastic! You are quite clever! Everytime i try and add sequins and stuff it ends up not looking right or there are too many or not enough! (i am a perfectionist when it comes to craft, and im never really happy with what i make). Too cute! Grin

Ill try anything crafty at least once, but usually once I try something Im addicted for life! heh heh

Beautiful bags - I love the sequins! I love adding extras to my bag like that.  Great idea with the cut out star, too.

Could we possibly get a pattern for the absolutely adorable bird?

crazy bc jen - I mainly just freehanded the bird on a piece of paper. I wanted a fat-like birdie so I just drew exactly that, a fat bird, Hehe. And the angel-like wing was as well puffy and freehanded. You can give it a try!
