Here's what happens when I combine my two most favorite things science and crafting.

In the back is a DNA molecule.  In the front is a virus (blue and black).  Next to the virus is a paramecium (one celled organism with black cilia hairs).  Next to that is a euglena ( one celled organism with the grey tail) and in front is a nerve cell.

I have a larger version of the nerve cell in my classroom.  When my students are getting on my nerves, I pull it out and tell them to leave my last nerve alone.

When I saw the title I had to click, and I knew I would be tickled.  Those are great.  I totally need a nerve cell with the tail-y things, what are those, dendrites, ganglion?  something like that.  What I really need is crocheted finger joints to replace mine that do not work so well.  Those are great!
