Costa Rica is so pretty.  Looking at these batts makes me really want a drum carder!

I have one this week.  This is soy silk core spun on hemp twine.  It's kind of stiff but the soy silk is so soft.  It's a weird yarn.  About 50yds.

Awesome yarns! My favorites this week are Isamax's brown and blue(man that's a lot of yardage too!), the maple colored sock yarn....and Costa Rica.

I have been a slacker and only finished one skein...not particularly interesting to look at, but it is a very soft alpaca, nice to touch:

about 300 yards sport weight.

And I've been plating with some silk hankies I just bought at a festival:

This is just some predrafted fiber waiting to be spun.
I never knew it was so easy to spin from hankies!

And I'm trying to get the three fleeces I bought in Maryland washed so my dog will stop obsessing about them!

I have 16 pounds to play with....bwa ha ha ha ha ha  Grin

I spun this last friday but forgot to post it. This is my April Spontaneous Batt from Loop-

"Passiflora Caerulea" 120yards of merino, bamboo, alpaca, silk noil, cotswold locks and lots of angelina.

Jadzy - I chose summer for the May batt too!

Hi, I'm a little late for the party, but since I haven't taken part in so long....
There are so many beautiful skeins here again this week! And everyone has been so prolific!

Well, here are some of my most recent yarns:

Golden girl, natural golden Tussah with Merino and lots of golden 'stuff':

Hippie Love, a hand dyed Merino with lots of happy flower beads:

The butterfly and the stone, Grey Merino with colourful Mohair and wrapped in a cotton boucle thread:

A lovely pastel-y hand dyed pure Tussah silk:

One of my new favourites, 'sparkly poodle' a Merino/silk yarn with sparkle and plied with boucle thread - so luxurious and soft! To me this should become a 40s style stole, resembling a fur stole just far more animal friendly. Smiley

One ply hand dyed Tussah silk, the other hand-processed and hand dyed Suri Alpaca (so much work!):

And here I present: Indiana Jones and the raiders of the lost yarn. The temple of wool is already in the making...

Also, I went to visit my parents last week and brought back lots of Alpaca fibre from a local farm, here is a quick impression of a total cutie:

This results in Alpaca yarn, obviously, and the one that's already nicely finished and washed is this one (Pure baby Alpaca, so incredibly soft!):

I hope this was no picture overkill, hehehe...
Right off the bobbin is some Baby Alpaca carded with Tussah silk, I could live in this! Perhaps I should knit a house from it... Cheesy

What wonderful yarns.

I feel a little insecure about posting.  This is my first post to Fiber Friday.  I call this yarn "Murphy's Law".  Every possible mistake a beginner could make, I made it. But I love it nontheless.

Its BFL from Spunky Eclectic.

Holy fibers, Batman!!! All of these are beautiful!!!

isamax -- recycled denim and soda bottles? Rock on!

jazzturtle -- "Quietly Screaming" is gorgeous, and fantastic name (so true...  Wink )

snowberrylime -- the pastel Tussah silk is absolutely stunning

I want all of these, and I don't really even know how to knit/crochet/spin! Smiley

Costa Rica and Hippie Love are my favs this week. But Oh how I just want to pile them all up and cuddle.

Hubb doesn't understand. I spent 20 min in a booth at the local festival this last weekend touching bats and feeling up yarn. And then I spent another 10 just chatting with the lady because I knew her from our state group. hehe.  He was glad he only had a little cash. *chuckles* Of course then she said she took cards too. ^-~

I haven't  had a chance to spin it yet. I'm still jealous of the mixed up scrap batts, I can't wait until I have enough scraps and bits to make a skien......^-^

I'm bringing sexy back, I think I dropped it somewhere between the donut shop and the Cheesecake Factory.

Kelly, I can't see any mistakes either, it's a lovely yarn!
Thanks Amelie and Ekioart, cuddling with all the fibre friday yarns at once must be great... well, something to dream about at least... Cheesy
