This is super cute! To have a firmer, less slouchy bag, you most likely need to use a stiff interfacing or inner lining.

ironable interfacing works well inside bags.  they have black, white, really stiff to not so stiff.  it is usually sold right near the cutting area in fabric stores.  it makes a huge difference!

really great bag, i love the fabric and the handles, good idea.   Smiley

Cute design and nice fabric Grin. Like others have expressed, some type of interfacing is a must if you want a structured purse. I use interfacing on all my bags.  I would try some (fusible-iron on) Med-Heavy interfacing, it should take some slouch out but still allow the fabric to move . When I want a really stiff purse (thats stands on its own Cheesy) I use ULTRA FIRM (Sew in) from Walmart..$1.74 a yard. Hope this helps!

ooo... thanx for the idea!  Grin

actually, i doubt that the green and red color can get along well,
hehe. actually, i want to make a dark green lining. but i havent got the chance to go out and find one,
so i just use whatever is in the house, n found this remnant piece of red fabric..
so, that's what i used. hehe.

is the color combination looks odd? haha.

Not sure what's wrong with the chick above me, but I love the bag. I love the "slouch" effect.

I agree with everyone else about the interfacing. Interfacing makes a huge difference in the appearance of your bags.

good luck and good job!
