ooh the sugar skull stencil T-shirt is fab. and I love the dancing skeleton mirror is so cute.

My other partner deadbathducky asked me to post some photos of what I sent her.

All together: Skelanimal recycled pillowcase, made from an old t-shirt and shirt; Yorick skull with hidden compartment; crochet skull bag; coffin and skeleton necklace; recycled pastic bottle bangle; patches, pin cushion, treats and balmoral book.

Cool! How'd you make the bangle out of a recycled plastic bottle?

Wow that cross stitch is amazing!  Having just ventured into the world of cross stitch for another swap I appreciate how much work that took.

Glad you liked everything I sent Edel.  Grin  Today I received your parcel and I am absolutely thrilled with everything.  I am such a lucky girl and will definately be standing out from the crowd (of Stepfords) with my amazing new things.   Ok pics

The most amazing hand painted shopping bag.

My new handbag

Check out the button

And the funky patch

A great wee pouch/purse to keep all my things together

An embroidered patch...now where to put it is the dilemma

The cutest set of earrings and a necklace (someone stalked my wists Wink )
And two fab skull stamps.

And last but not least a sugar skull t shirt, you will have to give me hints on how to bleach designs like this Edel, I'd love to give it a go.

Again thank you so much for everything, you have super skills lady  Grin

Tazzell I am so glad that you liked everything, especially since you were so generous with what you sent me, The painted shopping bag was a rather randomn extra, it started life as a failed screen print, so I just kept adding paint to it until it attained its current state of wierdness.

The beach t-shirt is a very low tech approach, a bottle of (thick) household bleach and a paintbrush, just paint on the designs, that t-shirt is not 100 cotton so the design is a little lighter than it would be on 100%cotton, I just paint the design on (and always get it splattered everywhere, but I just accept that as part of the technique, rather like that cartoonist...hmm searle?) Anyway then wait until the design is light enough then I flood it with vinegar, (to neutralise the bleach) and wash the whole thing with soap and water... too easy!

I love personal swaps,  I print a lot of random fabric, usually with no purpose in mind.  let me know if you want any of it.

hell yeah

Hello everyone Cheesy
I received from Boolace7 last night! Girl's got some awesome embroidery skills, I love it all ^_^

So on top of being ridiculously hot yesterday, it decided to POUR rain in the 15min it took me to walk to the post office and back to get my package. poor boyfriend had it stashed under his shirt to try to protect it but we all came back soaked, package and all. i got everything unwrapped before the water could soak through the padded envelope though.
woo, wet treasure!!!

all wrapped up

first up, awesome scarf. Boolace7 was all down on herself on this one but look at how gorgeous that embroidery is!

I shall wear it with pride ^_^

next up, gorgeous little pouch, with treasure inside! How bloody awesome is this fabric? (f@ckin awesome!).

I ate ALL the jelly bellies last night. that's right, all of them. didn't share or nothing (I never had the sours before and i think i actually prefer them to the regular flavors now, thanks!). She also sent some fantastic mala beads (way better than the ones i've seen around here) and some shark's vertebrae Cheesy I can't wait to show my anatomy kids the vertebrae, they'll love them! I'm thinking the malas and vertebrae could work for a pirate themed necklace. yes...
and here is the back - so friggin awesome! i'm jealous of your fabric stores, cause i'd never find something like that around here. ever.

and last (but not least) beautiful framed sugar skull embroidery. the stitches are so neat... i'd love to be able to do that.

how great is that?!

and all the swag together:

Thanks boolace7, I love it all. your embroidery skills are awesome, and everything is very much my taste  ^_^
this has been a great swap - thanks Edel for being such an amazing organizer!

The embroidered Skeleton hand on the scarf is awesome. Really makes something out of the scarf.
