First let me start out by saying that this is a VERY ROUGH version of one item I'm hoping to make for this swap.  I used plywood and played around with different saw blades.  I can assure you that the ones for this swap will look much nicer.

That being said, here is a picture of the 3D ornament I talked about earlier:

It's just over 6" tall and I plan to make it from solid pine (or other solid material) and I'm not sure yet how to finish it - I could either varnish them all or leave them plain and the recipient could paint or varnish them.  There is a hole in the top for hanging.  I plan to make 5 different ones.

I plan to ship them flat (much cheaper shipping) and the recipient can put them together.  They slide together very easily and can be glued.

Hmm, since my earlier suggestions didn't seem to catch anybody's attention...

I have been considering making some of these for me, but I could definately do up some for the swap.

hello there! just wanted to say how excited i am about this swap - i already want one of everything!  i don't have pics yet (lent out my camera until next week) but i'm going to be offering 5 knitted hats in the style of the mary jane pithy hat http://www.littleturtleknits.com/pithyhat.htm except with bigger cables.  so far everyone's stuff looks so great and i am so excited to be signed up with such a great bunch of swappers!
