Hello there,

Firstly I'd like to thank all the wonderful craftsters I've encountered since I joined a month or so ago. I have been off work due to illness for 5 months now and after lots of tests and trips to the hospital I can finally go back to work.  Grin
I think I would have spent many lonely days sobbing if it hadn't been for this website. When I started to feel well enough, crafting really helped too, but when I wasn't well enough or my idle mind was too bored to function it was wonderful to see what all the talented people here have created.
I don't know how I'll cope not being able to logon when I like.  Wink

Here area couple of things I made recently that make me happy...

The first is a green, tweed bag I made with some vintage scottish tweed from my Grandma. I needle felted the rose and made it into a brooch  so it can be detached. It is similar to one in a tut Mocosa posted from "tiny happy things" but I changed a few things, mainly the size (it's the size of my annual, pension information leaflet- one of these days I'll actually read one) and I changed the shape to give it a flap. It has a magnetic fastener.

And a pic with one of my cats (Scooter) for scale

The other bag I made using bangles my Mum gave me but they are too big for my skinny wrists. I was delighted with her reaction when I showed her what I had done with them. Also, the buttons, which you can't see very well are from an elderly neighbour (who is well aware of my button and bead obsession and gives me the most amazing things she has collected from around the world over the years- her husband was in the navy)

The photo is not great because I was trying to be artistic, taking it in the garden, but the sun was so bright I couldn't see the screen. Also the bag seems a bit wonky and uneven, but it really isn't (promise).

I hope some people like them. I do, as they make me feel better.

Thank you so much once again and keep up the great work!!! Grin

They are both very cute; you did a great job and I loved hearing the background story of each.

ooh, I love the tweed one!  Grin The flower on it is super cute as well. Great job on both of them!  Wink

You are my sweetest downfall. I loved you first, I loved you first. Beneath the sheets of paper lies my truth.

They're both beautiful, but I think the green bag is my favorite.  Well done!

Just treat me no differently than you would the Tarantula Queen.
